We don't have to wonder what we are
& we don't have to worry anymore
So never-mind these stories, let's listen to what's here
& let go of the hurry, breathing mindfully
Why this is so familiar, like a rediscovery
Though having so much fun in our confusion
Dream in the living death
But why not wake to this illusion, and untie your knot
Hallelujah I am here, singing to the day
& I am here, dancing among the dead
Waiting to awaken from the daze
of life's illusion
We don't have to believe in these thoughts
& we can choose to relieve the tensions
For why not re-cognize the essential self
& reconcile to forgive the mental hell
Groping for some kind of meaning
While I cannot speak without losing
What I wish to communicate
So I let it be as it will be
& I free this life of the confines of my mind
Good morning – what are you creating today?
Something as simple as a smile?
Or convoluted as denial?
Good mourning is when I wake anew & leave yesterday beneath my feet
